Wisdom teeth often cause problems silently, long before any symptoms appear. Panoramic and cone-beam X-rays let us see where they're developing, how much space is available, and whether they put neighboring teeth at risk — so we can plan ahead rather than react.
Before or after braces?
There's no universal rule. Removal before braces may make sense when wisdom teeth are actively blocking other teeth or driving crowding. In many cases orthodontic treatment begins first and wisdom-tooth removal is coordinated during or near the end of treatment — and it can often be done while braces are still on.
